Dahil May Isang Ikaw Episode 104 (January 14, 2010): Mother And Daughter

Yes, it's the second to the last episode of Dahil May Isang Ikaw, and tonight, it's going to be the Finale! How time flies when you're enjoying a show.

However, I understand the sentiments of the Echotiners (and our commentors here) who are looking for "kilig" moments of Ella and Miguel. Well, I guess, the problem with Dahil May Isang Ikaw is that they got married too early in the show. But please don't get too disappointed. Let's be happy that Kristine and Echo are part of such a major project as Dahil May Isang Ikaw where their talents are maximized to the fullest and they get to be recognized as two of the best among their contemporaries. We should be happy for them that they have graduated into more serious roles. Besides, I'm sure their fans know that they are both devout Born Again Christians and as much as possible, they both want to avoid intimate scenes. So, please don't blame the writers and the directors too much, because part of the reason why the "kilig" moments that we are looking for are limited is that they are just respecting the religious convictions of both Echo and Kristine.

Back to last night's episode, finally, Tessa learns that Ella is actually Melissa, her long lost daughter. I guess this is really the highlight of Dahil May Isang Ikaw. It was such a touching, intense and emotion-filled scene. Lorna and Kristine both gave an excellent performance and one can feel how each of them (as Tessa and Ella, respectively) felt at that very moment. Ang galing nila pareho! John Estrada was also very impressive, both in the action scenes and in the dramatic scenes. I wish for more good projects for him.

The ending teaser for the finale is quite puzzling. Who is going to get shot - Tessa or Patricia? In Episode 104, there was a scene where Tessa told Ella/Melissa:

"Hahanapin natin si Patricia, anak. Gagawin ko ang lahat para hindi ka makulong. Gagawin ko ang lahat para makabawi ako ... kahit ikamatay ko."

Was that a clue? Or a premonition?
